In this performance of Carlo Goldoni's timeless classic audiences are invited to journey into the vibrant world inspired by commedia dell'arte.

Just as Goldoni transformed commedia dell'arte by introducing scripted dialogue, our show updates the form for modern audiences while honoring the basic principles of commedia. The actors on stage may not be wearing the traditional masks, however they will certainly embody each archetype with the gusto and flair it deserves. Thanks to the timeless nature of human folly and societal absurdity our audience may notice how these old archetypes mirror the various kinds of people they might be interacting with in their everyday reality. The ever hungry Truffaldino for instance remains (I hope) relatable to most of us!
